I teach math.
Others should ask me this hypothetical question: What if we are wildly successful? What if 100% of all Pasadena students in the district go on to college with the tools in hand to be successful, and the motivation to use them? What if the methodology for our district success is copied nation wide, and all of our children, everywhere, experience this same level of academic success?
What then? Is the capital there? Are the jobs? How is labor distributed equitably? What socioeconomic institutions are in place to make sure that the hard work pays off for all of them?
